BraveHeart Women Organization to Honor Outstanding Women at 2011 Braveheart Women Awards

The BraveHeart Women organization, an online community of women worldwide led by founder and CEO Ellie Drake, announced today the winners of the 2011 BraveHeart Women Awards, in areas of Compassion, Courage, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Philanthropy and Collaboration. The 2011 winners are:

KATHARINE (KAT) KRAMER - BraveHeart Women Compassion Award:

Founder of Kat Kramer's Films that Change the World, and daughter of legendary filmmaker Stanley Kramer, Kat produces films that raise awareness for social issues. SHARON BLYNN - BraveHeart Women Courage Award:

Actress and cancer survivor, Sharon Blynn is the founder of Baldisbeautiful.org, "changing ourselves and the world within and around us, one hair follicle at a time." A self-described, "women's wholeness and cancer awareness advocate," Sharon is actively working to change the fashion/visual image industry to expand the notion of beauty and femininity, to dispel the stigma due to hair loss from chemo, alopecia, or other hair loss conditions. http://www.baldisbeautiful.org/

LYNN MABRY - BraveHeart Women Innovation Award:

Accomplished vocalist and business manager, Lynn Mabry is Co-Founder of the Elevate Hope Foundation (along with partner, Sheila E.), an organization dedicated to providing abused and abandoned children an alternative method of therapy through music and the arts. http://www.elevatehope.org/

JANICE BRYANT HOWROYD - BraveHeart Women Entrepreneur Award:

KELLY STONE - BraveHeart Women Philanthropy Award:

Kelly Stone is a Co-founder (along with sister, actress Sharon Stone) of Planet Hope - an organization that provides medical care, counseling, clothing, and image makeovers to homeless women and women that have been victims of domestic violence. HANA AVNI / ITAF AWAD - BraveHeart Women Collaboration Award:

New for 2011:? BraveHeart Women is presenting a special award to two women from the Palestinian/Israeli regions of the Middle East (Hana from the Israeli side and Itaf, from the Palestinian) who, in applying Ellie Drake's formula for collaboration, are committed to working together to bring the women of their regions together. Both true BraveHeart Women, Itaf believes that, "women are the key to change and peace" in her country; Hana also strives for "unity and peace" between all.

ABOUT THE BRAVEHEART WOMEN AWARDS

The 2011 BraveHeart Women Awards will take place at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Los Angeles on Saturday, November 12th, 2011.
