It's difficult to believe that the beautiful women in the 2010 edition of the Girls of Brazil calendar are not even paid models. In fact, they are undiscovered knockouts with varying professions who were found on the beaches of Florianopolis, Brazil by an amateur photographer.
The calendar is earning rave reviews on Amazon.com, as well as dozens of letters of appreciation from troops overseas who received complementary 2009 calendars from photographer Jeremiah Thompson, a former dot com executive who now is pursuing his passion for photography full time.
The models have full-time jobs including bar manager, nail technician, dentist, psychologist, restaurant owner, video store clerk, clothing store salesperson, grocery clerk and other non-modeling professions. They wore their own bikinis, in many cases, and did their own hair and makeup. Thompson found that the women were more than happy to have their photos taken for free, with some just asking for prints to keep for themselves.
The lighting in the photos on the Brazilian beaches is stunning, and the models are breathtaking. Thompson said that Brazil is home to some of the most beautiful women in the world. Try not to hold it against him: Thompson is now engaged to the 2009 cover model, Dayana.
